Stain guide
Our floors could be harbouring a lot more germs than we think. They are exposed to everything that touches the bottom of our shoes, including germs, bacteria, and viruses. Pet dander, food debris, hair strands and dry skin are also found on the floors in most households. We realized that in the current times, just sweeping and mopping the floor regularly is not enough. Also, with babies crawling on the floor and little kids utilizing it as their playing space, it makes them easily susceptible to infections. So, we need a floor cleaner that not only cleans our floors, but also effectively kills the germs on them. Over time we have realized what are the things we need to look out for in a floor cleaner to keep our floor clean and germ-free. Hence, to make your job easier we have curated a checklist below that will help you know if your floor cleaner is doing its job well.
1. It Should Kill Germs & Viruses
While regular floor cleaners would help get rid of any visible dirt and grime on the floor, the times are such that we need floor cleaners that can do more than that. We realized that we need a floor cleaner that along with providing a sparkling floor, can also kill germs effectively. This is why we opted for Domex Disinfectant Floor Cleaner. Its label mentions that it contains sodium hypochlorite which is recommended by leading health organizations for disinfecting surfaces and killing germs effectively.
2. You Shouldn’t Have to Use Excessive Amounts of the Floor Cleaner
We have all made the mistake of using more floor cleaner when our floors are dirty, thinking that it would yield cleaner floors. But, we noticed that whenever we did that, it left a sticky residue on the floor which in turn trapped more grime. This made us realize that a good floor cleaner is one that needn’t be used in excessive amounts to do its job well. Therefore, we switched to Domex Disinfectant Floor Cleaner and used it according to the instructions mentioned on its label. All we had to do was add two cups of Domex Disinfectant Floor Cleaner in half a bucket of water and mop the floor to get a clean, and germ-free floor!

3. It Should Remove Difficult Stains
We have seen that floors have to often endure stubborn stains like that of coffee, tea, fruit juice, wine etc. Other times, we have also come across tough grease and permanent marker stains. Whatever type of stain it may be, it's always Domex Disinfectant Floor Cleaner that comes to our rescue. We have seen that it can remove tough stains effortlessly leaving the floor looking spotless and stain free.
4. Say ‘No’ to Artificial Fragrance
Most floor cleaners available in the market have artificial fragrances added to them which we have found to be very strong and unpleasant. We even tried using phenyl to disinfect our floors but were put off by the overpowering odour it emanated. However, when we used Domex Disinfectant Floor Cleaner, we weren’t overwhelmed by the fragrance. It gives a disinfection fragrance to the floor which provides an assurance of germ kill and cleanliness.
5. It Should Be Able to Clean Multiple Surfaces
We have often seen that floor cleaners can only be used for the disinfection of the floorings. But with Domex Disinfectant Floor Cleaner we found that it could be used on ceramic tiles, floorings, hard floorings and even bathroom fixtures. Thus, this product along with killing germs also proved to be a budget friendly option for us as we no longer had to invest in different products for disinfecting different surfaces.
These tips will help you know whether your floor cleaner is doing its job effectively.
