Keeping your white clothes bright is hard because regular exposure to dirt and sweat can cause discolouration. But you don’t need to worry, you can hold on to your favourite whites for a while longer. We bring you a few laundry tips that will help you keep your whites white.

Try these less harsh ingredients from your kitchen to keep your whites looking fresh always!

1) Use Lemon Juice and Detergent

In a bucket of warm water, add lemon juice squeezed from 4 lemons and 1/4th cup of mild detergent. Let your white garment soak in it for about 40 minutes. Next, thoroughly rinse it under clean water. Finally, leave your white clothes out to dry. For effective results, we suggest you dry your white garment out in the sunlight, which is a natural bleaching agent. Doing this works wonders when it comes to restoring the brightness of your white clothes.

2) Use Lemon Juice and Baking Soda

In case of stubborn stains, evenly sprinkle 1 tbsp. of baking soda directly on the stain. Next, cut a lemon in half and rub it over the stain. Let it rest for 15 minutes. Then wash as usual with warm water. Lemon and baking soda are an effective combination to tackle difficult stains on your whites.

While washing your white garment in your washing machine, add 1 cup of vinegar directly into your washer. Vinegar helps brighten your whites effectively. What’s more, it also helps keep your clothes smelling fresh and feeling soft. If you are looking for a good liquid detergent for your white clothes, we recommend Rin.

So, don’t be afraid to wear your whites. Confidently wear your favourite white garment at a family dinner or an office party without worrying about stains!
