A white floor has aesthetic appeal. However, frequent exposure to dust, dirt and spills can mar its appearance. Over a period of time, your floor may get discoloured or might develop yellowish patches. Don’t worry, use simple ingredients from your kitchen to easily get rid of those stains and restore the shine of your flooring.

1)  Baking Soda and Lemon Juice

Add 1 tbsp. of baking soda and 2 tbsp. of lemon juice to a bowl and mix well. Once the paste is ready, apply it directly on the affected areas with a soft-bristled brush. Let it rest for 45 minutes. Scrub the paste with an old toothbrush for 5-10 minutes. This will lift the tough stains. Thoroughly rinse the floor with water and wipe with a damp cloth.

2)  Bleach, Water and Detergent

To clean the stained flooring of your entire house, prepare a solution of 1 cup of bleaching floor cleaner and 2 tbsp. of liquid detergent in 1 bucket of warm water. Pour this solution on the floor, spread it and let it sit for 30-45 minutes. Make sure you evenly cover the stains. Wipe off with a damp sponge. Always remember to wear rubber gloves when using bleach.

3)  Vinegar and Water

Use a soft-bristled brush to apply a mixture of ½ cup of vinegar and ½ cup of water on the stained flooring, and let it work its magic for 15 minutes. Then, evenly sprinkle baking soda over it. Thoroughly scrub the area with a sponge, and rinse off with water.
