Since carpets are absorbent, they tend to hold onto the strong smells. If your carpet is often smelly, there is a possibility that your pet has used it to attend nature’s call. Follow these steps to eliminate pet-pee smells from your carpet using household products-

Step 1:

Spray a Mixture of Water, Vinegar & Baking Soda

Soak away the wetness. Using a paper towel, clean up the urine spot. If the spot is dry, pour some water over it and dab the area with a paper towel.

Step 2:

Coat the Spot With Baking Soda

Apply Vim dishwash gel. This is the most recommended technique for spot-cleaning recent pet urine spots. Pour 3 drops of the gel on a wet paper towel and wipe the area with that soapy towel to clean up the urine.

Step 3:

Apply Vim Dishwash Gel

Coat the spot with baking soda. While the carpet is still wet, depending on the size of the spot, sprinkle a layer of baking soda over it. The baking soda may get damp, but that is okay. Allow it to sit overnight.

Step 4:

Using a Paper Towel to Clean Urine Spot

Spray a mixture of water, vinegar and baking soda. Prepare a mixture of one cup of water, one cup of vinegar, and two tablespoons of baking soda. Pour it into an empty spray bottle. Spray it over the spot till the area gets wet again. Let it sit for 5 minutes.

Step 5:

Use a soft cloth to soak up. Wipe the wet area and let it dry.

Happy pet-parenting!
