Everyone can appreciate a beautiful, shiny marble floor. But maintaining its shine takes some effort. If you are wondering how to go about the cleaning process, we’ve got some solid cleaning tips for you.

Revive the shine of your marble floor with these simple tips.

1)   Use Baking Soda and Dishwashing Liquid

Start by sweeping the floor to clear out any loose dust and dirt. Take a bucket of warm water, add 2 tsp. each of baking soda and dishwashing liquid to it, and mop the floor. Next, use plain water to mop again and remove any residue. Do this twice a week consistently to keep your floor looking clean and shiny.

2)   Use Vinegar and Baking Soda to Remove Stains

Clean stains on your marble floor with a paste made by mixing 2 tbsp. each of vinegar and baking soda. Use a soft-bristled brush to rub it on the stains and leave it overnight. The next morning, scrape off the mixture and mop your floor with soapy water. To prepare this solution, add 2 tsp. of dishwashing liquid in a bucket of water and mix well. Next, mop the floor with plain water to remove the soap.

3)   Use White Chalk Powder

To give your marble flooring a glow, grind a boxful of white chalk sticks and sprinkle them over clean, dry marble. Buff this in circles with a microfibre cloth. Wipe the chalk powder away with a soft, damp cloth to remove all residue, and then wipe off with a dry cloth to bring out the marble’s shine.

A good cleaning routine will help you keep your marble floor shiny for a long time.
