However, mosaic flooring has one downside- they tend to gather a great deal of dirt and grime than most other types of flooring and require frequent cleaning. Here is a step-by-step process to get sparkling mosaic flooring.

Avoid acidic cleaners; it can discolour the tiles easily.

Step 1:

Vacuuming. It sucks up all the dirt stuck in the grouts. A broom or a brush might be ineffective as compared to a vacuum cleaner. If possible, use the attachment which has a brush to it. The brush will dislodge the dirt and it will be easier for the cleaner to do its job.

Step 2:

Make a mixture. Add 1 cup of floor cleaner to a bucket full warm water. Clean the surface with a mop or a cloth and let it air dry.

Step 3:

For stains. Mix 1 cup of baking soda in a bucket full of water and scrub the area with a stiff sponge or scrub brush. Rubbing in a circular motion should help remove the marks.
