A clean home is inviting and says a lot about its inhabitants. It requires both discipline and dedication. But regular exposure to moisture, dust, and grease can make the surfaces sticky over time. If you’re looking for easy cleaning tips to remove surface stains, you’ve come to the right place.

In this article, we cover useful tips to remove dirt and stains from granite, marble, metal, wood and glass surfaces in your home. Let’s take a look.

1) Granite and Marble Surfaces

Make a cleaning solution by adding 2 tsp. of dishwashing liquid in ½ a bucket of warm water. Mix well. Use this solution to mop your granite and marble surfaces. After mopping, allow the surface to air-dry.

2) Metal Surfaces

To clean metal surfaces, including showpieces, begin by dusting the surfaces with a clean, dry cloth. Then, make a cleaning solution by mixing 2 tsp. of detergent in a bucket of lukewarm water. Dampen a clean sponge in this solution and rub the metal surfaces thoroughly. Now, take another clean sponge dampened in plain water and clean again. This trick will make your metal surfaces shiny.

3) Wooden Surfaces

If you’re looking to clean the stains on your wooden floor or furniture, make a cleaning solution by mixing vinegar and water, 1 tbsp. each. Dip a clean sponge in this solution and apply on the stained portion. Wait 5 minutes and wipe with a clean, dry cloth. This will remove any stains on your wooden surfaces.

4) Glass Surfaces

If you want to clean your glass showpieces, tabletops, windows or any glass surface, this spray will work wonders. In a large bowl, mix 1 cup of lukewarm water and 1 cup of vinegar. Mix well with a spoon and pour into a spray bottle. Spray on your glass surfaces and wipe with a clean, dry cloth. Repeat the process for tough stains. This will make the glass surfaces in your home squeaky clean.
