An Indian kitchen uses heavy spices and a variety of vegetables. Our kitchen cleaning tips will guide you in cleaning and removing stains from various kitchen surfaces, like your platform and the cabinets.

You can clean your kitchen shelves with a kitchen cleaner like Cif Kitchen Cleaner. Check the pack to understand the correct usage instructions. However, merely cleaning isn’t enough. To keep your kitchen smelling fresh, you’ll need to get rid of the lingering smell of the gravy and the aromatic spices. Use the tips given here to add your favourite fragrance to your kitchen.

1) Use Citrus Fruits

Give your kitchen a sweet, citrusy scent. To do this, fill a large pot with water. Add a ¼th cup of cloves, 4 nutmegs, 6 cinnamon sticks and lemon or orange zest. After the water boils, let it simmer for an hour. The sweet aroma from the pan will fill up your kitchen. You don’t need to throw away the water. Strain and store it in an empty spray bottle. Spray the solution whenever your room needs a little freshening.

2) Use Salt and Baking Soda

Remove the foul odour coming from the kitchen drain in the sink. Pour 1 cup of rock salt and 1 cup of baking soda in the drain. Leave the two for 5-10 minutes.

Now, pour boiling water down the drain.

3) Keep Kitchen Rags Clean

Wash your kitchen cleaning cloth and rags regularly using a suitable detergent. We recommend using Surf Excel Easy Wash for this. To keep your kitchen rags smelling fresh, you can add a few drops of your favourite essential oil along with the detergent.

4) Bake Lemon

For a sweet-smelling, pure lemon fragrance, cut 3-4 pieces of lemon into two halves. Bake them in the oven at 250°F for 2 hours. Keep your oven door open and let the lemon scent waft into your kitchen.

5) Use Fabric Conditioner

To add a fresh fragrance to your cleaning cloth, use a fabric conditioner. You can use a fabric conditioner such as Comfort Core. It is easily available in the market. It keeps the fibres intact, thus making the fabric soft and smooth. It also adds a mild fragrance to the fabric.

Keep your kitchen smelling pleasant and your nose happy.
