A list of simple home decoration ideas often includes brightly coloured bedsheets, which can liven up a room in seconds and are especially good for your kids’ bedroom. Lovely cartoon motifs and characters nurture your child’s imagination and can even lull them to sleep at night!
However, be prepared to tackle all kinds of stains on their bed sheet. Kids are messy eaters and sometimes insist on being fed in bed. See our easy process to remove snack stains from their bed sheets effortlessly.
Ingredients to Keep Handy:
a) Towel
b) Cotton cloth

c) Baking soda
d) Water
e) Lemon slice
f) Liquid detergent
Step 1: Protect the Mattress
Prevent the stain from seeping into your mattress. As soon as you spot the spilt snack, place a towel under the sheet to create a barrier between the stained area of your bed sheet and the mattress.
Step 2: Sprinkle Water on the Stained Area
Dampen the stained area and blot the stain using a clean cotton cloth. The water will stop the food and oil from sticking to the bed sheet.
Step 3: Treat with Baking Soda
Add 2 cups of baking soda to a cup of water to make a paste. Apply this paste on the stained area of the bed sheet and let the baking soda rest on the stain for 10 minutes. The baking soda will react with the stain and lift it off your bed sheet’s surface.
Step 4: Treat with Lime
Scrape off the baking soda from your bed sheet using a slice of lemon. Rub the lemon gently on the stained area. Wipe off the area with a damp cloth. Now, put your bed sheet in the wash like you usually do. If you are looking for a good detergent for your washing machine, we would recommend Surf Excel Matic Liquid. It is specially formulated for washing machines. Being a liquid, it easily dissolves in water and washes away without leaving any residue behind like powders do.
Your child’s bed sheet is now stain-free!
