With every wash, your towels lose their softness. Soon, they will start feeling rough against your skin. You may feel like you have no option but to buy new ones. However, you don’t have to throw them away because it is easy to bring back their softness! Follow these simple tips on clothing care to know how!

1) Use Vinegar

Add 1 cup of vinegar to the drum before putting your towels in your washing machine. Then, run the wash, rinse and spin cycle as you normally do. If you are washing by hand, add vinegar to the bucket directly. The vinegar helps keep your towels soft.

2) Use Baking Soda

This tip is handy when washing your towels in a washing machine. After the wash cycle has finished, add 1 cup of baking soda to the load. Do this before you begin the rinse and spin cycle. Once you add the baking soda, let your wash cycle complete.

3) Use Warm Water

Whether you are washing your towels in a washing machine or by hand in a bucket, wash them using warm water. Doing so helps dissolve the detergent quickly and in turn keeps your towels soft.

4) Use a Fabric Softener

Hard water and heavy loads in the machine can take their toll on the fabric of your towels. After each wash, use a fabric softener. This helps keep your towels soft and fresh.
