Wool is a natural fibre and pulls moisture away from your feet. While we know you love wearing those foot warmers, you need to know how to wash wool socks. Follow our step-by-step instructions on how to wash your wool socks.

Step 1: Fill a Bucket With Water

Wondering how to wash wool socks without shrinking them? A simple hand-wash can do the trick. First, take a bucket, and fill it with cold or lukewarm water. The best laundry detergent for wool is a mild one. Add 2 tsp. of a mild detergent to this water and mix it well. Don’t use hot water to wash your wool socks as it can cause the fibres to shrink and the colours to fade.

Step 2: Scrub Your Socks

Put your woollen socks in this soapy solution, let them sit for 5 minutes and gently scrub them. Use a toothbrush to clean any stained areas.

Step 3: Let them Soak

Place your woollen socks in this solution and let them soak for 15-20 minutes.

Step 4: Rinse Your Socks

After you remove your socks from the bucket, either rinse them under a tap or use another bucket with clean water until all the detergent is washed away.
