If you’d like to keep your clothes smelling fresh after washing, we’re here to tell you how you can do just that. We have a few simple tips to get your clothes smelling great.

After washing your clothes, don't dry them in strong sunlight, as this might cause a lot of the fragrance to evaporate. You can use your dryer or leave them on a flat surface at home to dry naturally.

1) Fabric Softener

Using fabric softener is one of the best ways to add a great scent to your clothes. If you’re using your washing machine, add 1 tbsp. of fabric softener during the rinse. If you’re hand-washing, after you’re done rinsing your clothes, add ½ a tbsp. of fabric softener to a bucket of water. Drop your clothes in it and wait for 15 minutes. Wring out the excess water and hang to dry.

2) Fragrant Detergent

You can pick a fragrant detergent to wash your clothes. There are various options available in the market. Before washing your clothes, soak them in a bucket of water by adding ½ cup of fragrant detergent. Then wash as usual. Your clothes will smell great!

3) Vinegar

If you’re looking for a natural way to make your laundry smell nicer, vinegar is your answer. Before washing your clothes, take a bucket of lukewarm water and add ½ cup of vinegar in it. Soak your clothes in this solution for 30 minutes and wash as you normally would.

4) Lavender Water

Lavender water can effectively make your laundry smell good and is easily available in the market. If you’re using your washing machine, add 1 tbsp. of lavender water during the rinse. If you’re hand-washing, after you’re done rinsing your clothes, add 1 tbsp. of lavender water to a bucket of water. Drop your clothes in it, and wait for 15 minutes. Wring out the excess water and hang to dry. To make the perfume last longer on your clothes, add 1 tsp. of vanilla essence in lavender water.
