Why make elaborate and exhausting weekend plans when you can enjoy a relaxed evening watching the setting sun from your balcony. Just put in a comfortable lawn chair, make your favourite beverage and get some me-time. Feel the cool evening breeze and take in the view of the city’s skyline or read a book. It’s economical. And what’s more, you don’t even have to brave crazy city traffic.

However, maintaining an inviting balcony takes some effort. Use these tricks to keep your balcony clean.

1) Plant Higher

Save up on floor space. Put your plant in pots and place them in the baskets tied to the railings of your balcony. It will give it a compact look and make your balcony seem spacious. You can also hang some plants using hooks fixed in the ceiling. Keep one table in the corner of your balcony that’ll help you to reach them when needed.

2) Set a Regular Cleaning Routine

Balconies are exposed to dust and grime throughout the day. So, make a cleaning schedule and stick to it. Frequent cleaning and dusting are one of the easiest ways to keep your balcony looking neat and tidy.

3) Clean the Floor

If you are serious about using your balcony space, you must invest in a steamer. It will come in handy when you want to clean the dirt and grime deposited on your balcony floor. A steamer is also useful in helping you clean bird droppings. You should wipe clean your balcony floor at least once a fortnight.

4) Wipe Clean Your Balcony Glass

Keep your balcony glass clean and shiny. You can use a glass cleaning agent available in the market or make your own cleaning solution using warm water and liquid dishwash. Our preferred choice is Vim dishwashing liquid, which is easily available in the market. Soak a sponge in the solution and scrub the glass surface with it. Later, wash off the soapy solution with a damp cotton cloth.

Your balcony is ready for you.
