An Indian thali is made even more alluring with a serving of chutney. Apart from boosting the nutritional value of your diet, chutney also adds the perfect flavour to a boring meal and can even make a dull dish appealing.
The main step in making a yummy batch of chutney involves grinding the ingredients– but cleaning the stains they leave on the grinder may seem like a task. That’s because these stains are intense.
Try the following tips to rid your grinder of stubborn stains effortlessly.
1) Use Vinegar and Baking Soda
A paste of baking soda and vinegar will easily clean the most stubborn of stains. Fill a bowl with undiluted vinegar and add 2 tbsp. of baking soda to it. Mix it well to create a paste. Using a soft-bristled brush, apply the paste inside the grinder. Evenly cover the stains with this paste and let it sit for 15 minutes. Add 1 cup of water to the grinder and grind well. Rinse as you normally would. Voilà , you have a squeaky clean grinder!

2) Use Dishwashing Gel
Fill your grinder with 2 cups of warm water, add 3-4 drops of dishwashing gel to it and grind. Rinse it well with clean water and wipe with a dry cloth.
3) Use Lemon Peels
Scrub a lemon peel on the lid and on the insides of the grinder and let it sit for 15 minutes. Wash it off with clean water. The acid in lemon removes the stubborn stains and the pungent smell from the grinder.
Cleaning the chutney stains on your grinder is now easier than ever. Go on, serve this delicious chutney to your loved ones and make that meal a delightful experience!
