Tough stains of burnt food in your pressure cooker may seem intimidating, but there’s no need to worry. A few smart and efficient cleaning techniques will help you clean this up in no time. So the next time you’re faced with tough stains, try these simple fixes.Â
Let’s get started.
1)Â Hot Water
Boil water in your pressure cooker for 10-15 minutes on low heat to loosen food particles. Once the pressure cooker cools down, pour 2 drops of a dishwashing liquid in it and thoroughly scrub till the stains fade. Then wash the pressure cooker like you normally would.
2) Onions
Fill your pressure cooker with water and drop 5-6 onion skins in it. Put the lid on and boil the skins for 20-30 minutes. Thoroughly scrub the stains with a dishwashing liquid after the pressure cooker cools down.

3) Lemon Juice
Fill half the pressure cooker with water and squeeze 2 lemons in it. Boil for 5-10 minutes on a high flame. After the pressure cooker cools down, thoroughly scrub it with a dishwashing liquid.
4) Baking Soda
Add 3 tbsp. of baking soda to the pressure cooker and fill half of it with water. Boil on low flame for 10 minutes and let it cool. Scrub with a dishwashing liquid and rinse with plain water, as you normally would.
5) Cornflour
In a bowl, combine 2 tbsp. of cornflour and ½ a cup of water. Mix well to get rid of any lumps. Use a soft-bristled brush to apply this paste on the stained area of the pressure cooker. Wait for 15 minutes, and then wash as you normally would.
Don’t let the fear of tough stains stop you from preparing scrumptious meals for your loved ones.
