It is important to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen. Corners of walls, damp areas near the sink are places that hold a lot of dampness. Let us explore two simple techniques to keep your kitchen fungus-free.

Keep your kitchen properly ventilated and dry at all times.

1) Use vinegar and borax to attack the fungal areas

Mix 2 tablespoons of borax, 1/4th cup of vinegar and 2 cups of hot water in a container. Stir it firmly till the borax dissolves. Pour this mixture in an empty spray bottle and liberally spray it over the mould and fungus. Scrub the area thoroughly and wipe with a clean, dry rag. Spray it again and let it sit for 10-15 minutes before wiping it dry.

2) Use bleach to get rid of moulds

Mix ½ a cup of bleach and 2 cups of warm water in a bowl. Pour this mixture in an empty spray bottle and spray it on the affected areas. Scrub it thoroughly and wipe it clean. If you don’t see any results, spray the solution again and let it sit for 15 minutes before scrubbing. Wipe it clean afterwards.
