We know that you like your kitchen smelling great! But, along with knowing how to make the room smell good, you need to add a fresh scent to the enclosed spaces like drawers as well. Follow these steps and you can have great-smelling drawers in your kitchen all-year round.

Step 1: Empty Drawers

The first thing to do is remove everything from your kitchen drawers. Discard any items you no longer need.

Step 2: Dust Drawers

Take a clean, dry cloth and dust the drawers, removing any loose dirt or food particles from them. If you have a vacuum cleaner, you can use that too.

Step 3: Make Cleaning Solution

Add 1 cup of lukewarm water along with ½ a tsp. of liquid dishwasher to a bowl. Mix well.

Step 4: Wipe Down Surfaces

Take a clean cloth, dip it in the solution made in Step 3, squeeze lightly to remove excess water and wipe down all surfaces in the drawers.

Step 5: Clean Corners

Take an old toothbrush, dip it in the same soapy solution and scrub in corners and at the back— areas that were difficult to clean with the cloth.

Step 6: Make a Fragrant Mixture

Take a bowl, add 1 cup of warm water along with 1 tsp. of your favourite essential oil to it. Take a clean cloth, dip it in this solution and wipe your entire drawer. This will add a fresh fragrance to your drawer.

Step 7: Wipe With Dry Cloth

Take a dry cloth and wipe your drawers to make sure no watermarks are left behind.

Step 8: Put Everything Back

Finally, you can put everything you removed back in your drawers.

There you have it! Follow these simple steps and your kitchen drawers will be clean and smelling great just the way you want them to! The fragrance should last for 3-4 weeks, so we recommend you repeat this procedure at least once every month.
