A clean kitchen is a healthy space, not only for your food but also for you and your family. It is important to clean your kitchen daily to keep it hygienic and free of germs. Yes, it may look like a tiresome task that gets added up over and above the other tasks of the day. We are here to simplify it for you.

Why Is It Important to Clean Your Kitchen?

You make your meals, store your food items and wash your dishes in your kitchen. An unclean kitchen can become a hot spot for pests. This, in turn, can jeopardize the health of your loved ones. It is, therefore, important to clear the kitchen platform every night before sleeping. There should be no leftover food items or food crumbs on the countertop. Wipe clean the kitchen platform with a disinfectant. Use a suitable disinfectant spray such as Domex Multi-Purpose Disinfectant Spray, which kills germs. Always test on a small hidden area and rinse to check compatibility first. Don’t forget to read the instructions on the product, and check if it’s recommended for soft and porous surfaces. To maintain superior hygiene in your kitchen, deep clean your kitchen at least once a week.

Maintaining a Clean Kitchen

To maintain a clean kitchen, quickly clean the surfaces with a damp cloth after each use. To clean any stains, mix ½ cup of white vinegar in 2 cups of water and pour in a spray bottle. Spray when needed and scrub using a soft sponge. Allow the cleaned surfaces to dry completely. Also, to remove any odour from your kitchen, simply keep a bowl of baking soda in a corner. It absorbs unpleasant odours and neutralizes the air in the room.

Remember to keep the doors open after cleaning to allow air circulation.

Key Step

Kitchen cleaning products often need to be left on for some time for the cleaning agent in the product to work its magic. Therefore, it can be a good idea to rotate around your kitchen applying a suitable cleaning product to different appliances and surfaces, and then work your way back around to each item to start scrubbing!
