Oil splatters on kitchen walls are blemishes you want to avoid at all costs. Even if the kitchen platform and cabinets are sparkling clean, oil stains can make the kitchen look unkempt. How to remove oil splatters from kitchen walls is one of the most sought after kitchen cleaning tips. In this article we tell you just that. Follow the steps given here.

Step 1: Soak the Oil

Get to cleaning the oil stain as soon as you can. Do not let dust and grime settle on the oil droplets. Blot the oil on your kitchen walls using a slice of bread.

Step 2: Treat with Vinegar

To lift oil stains from your kitchen walls, dampen a sponge with vinegar. Now wipe the stained area of your walls with the damp sponge. Use a dry rag to wipe off the vinegar from the surface of your walls.

Ensure that the paint on your walls is resistant to vinegar. Before applying vinegar on the stained area, test it on an inconspicuous area of your wall. Do not use a coarse scratchpad to remove oil stains. It can ruin the smooth finish of your walls.

Step 3: Wash Your Walls

Now it’s time to restore the shine and brightness of your kitchen walls. Squeeze 2-3 drops of dishwashing liquid in a bowl of warm water and mix well. Dip a sponge in this soapy solution and wipe the stained areas of the walls. Remove the soapy solution by wiping it off with a cloth dampened in plain water. Let the walls air-dry.
