Hosting a dinner party is an excellent opportunity to flaunt your culinary skills. But no matter how good a cook you are, you are bound to have a few burn marks on your vessels every once in a while. Cleaning your burnt non-stick cookware is fairly easy if you follow these simple tips and tricks. They are tried and tested. Working professionals with a hectic schedule swear by them.

1) Use Hot Water

Fill your non-stick cookware with water, making sure that the burnt bottom is completely covered with it. Add 2 tsp. of dishwashing liquid to it, place the cookware on the stove and bring the water to a boil. Turn off the stove and let it cool. Then, rinse with plain water and wash with dishwashing liquid and a soft sponge.

2) Use White Vinegar and Baking Soda

Cover the burnt bottom of your non-stick cookware with hot water. Add 2 tsp. of dishwashing liquid and mix well. Now bring this solution to a boil. Add 2 tbsp. of baking soda as the water begins to boil, and turn off the stove. The soda will react with the dishwashing liquid and release bubbles, lifting the burn stains. Let the cookware cool for 20 minutes before rinsing it with regular tap water. Finally, wash your cookware with dishwashing liquid and a soft sponge.

3) Use Salt

Treat the burn marks on your non-stick cookware with a solution of hot water and 5 tbsp. of salt. Let it rest for 15 minutes before wiping the utensil clean with a soft sponge. However, if the stain persists, you can boil the water and salt mixture for a few minutes and then clean it with a soft sponge. Finally, wash the utensil as you usually do.

Follow these easy tips and you won’t think twice before throwing another dinner party.
