Whether your kid accidentally spilt ink on their uniform or decided to make their uniform a canvas, ink stains are a little tricky to remove. If your child has just started using ink pens at school, the chances of a mishap with the pen are much higher. An ink stain is clearly visible and ruins the overall sharp look of a crisp, white uniform. You simply cannot ignore it. But, fear not! We are here with a few simple tips that can help you get rid of the ink stain completely.
1) Use Hair Spray
Hair spray is a great option when it comes to removing ink stains. Simply apply some hair spray on the stained area to cover it evenly. Wait for it to work its magic for 5 minutes, then remove it by dabbing a cotton ball. Repeat the process 1-2 times, if required. Wash as you normally would.
2) Use Skimmed Milk
Take a large bowl of skimmed milk. Sink the stained portion of the uniform in it and wait for 30 minutes. Then, scrub the stain gently with a toothbrush. Finally, wash as you normally would.

3) Use Vinegar and Cornstarch
Vinegar is another effective ingredient that breaks the stain and makes it easy to remove it. Lay the affected garment on a flat surface and pour 4-5 drops of white vinegar on the stain. Make sure you evenly cover the stain. Now, create a paste with 2 cups of white vinegar and 1 cup of cornstarch. Use a sponge or a soft-bristled brush to apply it on the stain. Let the paste dry completely before washing the uniform as you normally would.
4) Use Salt
Did you know apart from adding taste to your food, salt can remove those stubborn ink stains too? Lay the garment on a flat surface and evenly cover the stained area by sprinkling salt. Now take a wet paper towel and dab it. The salt will soak the stain. Remove the residue with a sponge or a soft-bristled brush. Repeat the step 1-2 times, if required. Wash as you normally would.
There you have it! A crisp, stain-free uniform boosts your kid’s self-confidence and keeps them ready for any surprise inspection.
