Clean water and sanitisation contribute to your kid’s growth in many ways. However, your kid’s water bottle is a magnet for dirt, dust and germs as it’s exposed regularly. Thus, timely cleaning is very important as it removes the germs that breed on the surface of your child’s bottle.

We have compiled a few helpful cleaning tips to make the surface cleaning of your kid’s water bottle simple and effective.

1) Use Rice to Disinfect

This is a unique but effective way of disinfecting water bottles. Fill ½ the bottle with water. Then add 3 tsp. of rice, 2 tsp. of vinegar and 2 tsp. of baking soda to it. Close the bottle, shake it well and wait for 5 minutes, and then empty it. This will disinfect the inside of the bottle. To clean the outer surface, take a few drops of dishwashing liquid on a sponge and thoroughly scrub the bottle. To clean the mouth of the bottle, take a few drops of dishwashing liquid on a toothbrush and scrub the surface. Finally, wash the bottle under running water.

2) Use Dishwashing Liquid

Make a cleaning solution by mixing 2 tsp. of dishwashing liquid in 2 cups of lukewarm water. Pour the solution into the water bottle, fix the cap and shake it well. Now empty the bottle. Next, take a few drops of dishwashing liquid on a sponge and thoroughly clean the outside of the water bottle. Use a toothbrush to clean the mouth of the bottle. Then thoroughly wash the inner and outer side of the bottle with plain water.
