For your children, chocolate is a heavenly treat. A bar of their favourite chocolate can lift their mood. But due to its thick texture and dark colour, chocolate can leave behind stubborn stains on fabrics. If your child has accidentally dropped chocolate on their bed while savouring it, you need not worry. We have some simple cleaning tips to keep your sheet clean.

1) Use Vinegar

Start by scraping off the hardened substance with a spoon. Next, to clean the stain, make a cleaning solution by mixing 2 tsp. of dishwashing liquid and 2 tsp. of vinegar in 1 cup of warm water. Vinegar breaks down the stains, and dishwashing liquid loosens it. Dip a sponge in the solution and gently scrub the stained part of your bed sheet. Wait for 15 minutes for the cleaning solution to work its magic. Now rinse the bed sheet in cold water. Then wash as you usually do.

2) Use Dishwashing Liquid

Dishwashing liquid works wonders when it comes to tackling chocolate stains. First, fold your bed sheet, drop it in a re-seal bag and keep it in your freezer for 20 minutes. Next, remove it and scrape off the frozen or hardened chocolate stain using a spoon. Now, fill ¾ th of a bucket with warm water, add 3-4 tsp. of dishwashing liquid and mix it well. Drop your stained bed sheet in this and wait 5-10 minutes for it to soak. Scrub the stained area using a clothes brush. Finally, wash the bed sheet as you usually do in your washing machine.

3) Use Detergent

First, remove the hardened chocolate stain from the bed sheet using a spoon. Take a bucket full of water, add 2 tsp. of detergent to make a cleaning solution. Drop your bed sheet in this solution and wait 30 minutes. It will loosen the stain. Then, gently rub the stain in the bucket and rinse under clean water. Finally, wash as you usually do.

These tips will help you clean those chocolate stains with minimal effort.
