The beginners’ guide to gardening.
Water early in the morning to avoid evaporation.
Get an idea of what your garden will bear, whether it is flowers, fruits, vegetables, herbs or something else. But always start small to get a hang of it.
Pick a space for your garden which gets adequate sunlight depending on the type of garden you plan to have.
Improve the soil
Add a 2 to 3-inch layer of organic compost, decayed leaves, dry grass clippings, or old manure to the soil. If you do not want to dig the soil, just leave the organic matter on the surface and it will work its way into the soil in a few months.
Make sure the seedlings never dry out. Water the pot daily until their roots are established.
Buy a water can, a small spade to dig the soil and scissors to clear the weed.
So, there it is, your first guide to have your own garden.
