Here are some useful tips to give your crockery set a shiny finish.

Always use a sponge to clean your crockery to avoid scratches. Also, if your crockery set has colour and no painted designs, test the cleaning solution on a small inconspicuous area first, to check its compatibility.

1) For Regular Wash

In a tub of lukewarm water, add 2 cups of white vinegar. Carefully place your crockery units in it and wait for 10 minutes. Now make a cleaning solution of 1 tsp. of dishwashing liquid in a cup of water. Dampen a clean sponge in this solution and clean each unit thoroughly. Wash with plain water.

2) For Old Stains

Take a bowl. Add a cup of water and 2 tbsp. of baking soda and mix well. Using a soft-bristled brush, apply this paste on the stained part or all over the surface of your crockery unit if it is stained entirely. Wait 25 minutes and wash with plain water.

3) For Better Shine

In a large bowl of water, add a cup of vinegar and a cup of salt and mix well. Carefully place the stained crockery in it and wait 30 minutes. Take it out and hold it under cold running water. Pat dry with a clean microfibre cloth.

4) For Silver Handles

In a bowl of water, add a handful of tamarind pieces. Mix well with hands. Rub this solution on your silver crockery handles with a clean sponge. Pat dry with a clean microfibre cloth.

By now, your crockery set will be clean, shiny and stain-free. Try these tips to keep your kitchen’s prized possession - crockery - looking squeaky clean throughout the festive season.
