Use a wrench to unscrew the nuts if they are too tight.

Turn off the water supply before fixing the leak.

Place a bucket under the strainer and unscrew the nuts that hold the waste pipe. Remove the pipe and empty the water into the bucket.

Step 3:

Disconnect the overflow pipe from the side of the strainer. Unscrew the drainer and remove the lower half of the strainer unit.

Step 4:

Remove the drainer lid and clean the sink and the hole using a paper towel.

Step 5:

Change the rubber washers. Align the top part of the strainer with the thin rubber on the top of the sink, and then place the thicker portion underneath the strainer’s bottom half.

Step 6:

Tighten the screws and reconnect the overflow pipe and trap. Switch on the water supply to check the flow.
