1) Using Vinegar

Baking soda can be used to clean bathroom tiles, oven, kitchen sink and countertops. It is useful in removing water rings from bathtubs and oil stains from your kitchen walls. For cleaning, make a paste by mixing baking soda with water and apply it on the stained areas. Scrub off the paste using a damp sponge and wash the surface with dishwashing liquid. Wipe the area dry with a clean rag.

3) Using Lemons

Rub a slice of lemon on your countertop and cutting board to remove tough stains. Lemon peel can be used to deodorise your dustbin. For best results, prepare a cleaning solution by mixing 5 tbsp. of lemon juice with 1 cup of vinegar and 1 cup of water.

4) Using Olive Oil

Olive oil can be used to add shine to wooden and metal surfaces. Buff the surfaces gently with a clean cotton cloth to remove excess oil. You can also use it to treat tears in your leather furniture.

Cleaning your home doesn’t always require running to the store to buy a host of cleaning products. You can use your everyday kitchen items too. They are always in your home and just as effective.
